A note from the Director of Education and Cantor Brian Reich.
As Director of Education and the eternal optimist, I have taken this opportunity to completely jump head first into the extended world of Jewish Education, 2022/2023. I found so much to learn, so many new and exciting platforms for teaching Hebrew, Jewish values, Holidays, Holy Days, Festivals, Major and Minor Jewish observances, music, Prayer, dance and of course cooking.
We are ready for an exciting year. Our school offers the state of the art of Jewish Education for online use as well as in the classroom. But there is more! We are prepared to integrate these wonderful platforms into our traditional approach toward reaching our students as the individuals they are. We will continue to bring joy, happiness, kindness and love into our method of teaching NOW using platforms such as Kahoot, Padlet & Quizlet, alongside singing and dancing.
As our full staff of Teachers and Madrichim is excited to have you join us, we invite you all to register now so we can prepare for the future.

Welcome to Beit Bina, our religious school at Temple Israel, where we are planting the seeds of the Jewish experience for the next generation.
Beit means house and Bina means understanding or wisdom in Hebrew. Ours truly is a house of understanding and wisdom. Our congregation welcomes any family; our school welcomes any child who desires Jewish values, traditions and language as part of their life. We want all parents to know that it’s never too late for your child to begin their Religious/Hebrew school journey with us. We offer programs for children from Pre-K through 7th grade students.
THURSDAY
On Thursday, from 4pm to 5:30pm, students in grades 3 - 7 receive an age-appropriate Hebrew education. Director Cantor Brian Reich, along with the Beit Bina staff, have coordinated and selected the most current Hebrew curriculum and use of technology to both educate our students and engage them with joy in learning Hebrew.
SUNDAY
On Sunday, from 9:30am to 12pm, the program for children in grades Pre-K - 7, is dedicated to Jewish cultural studies with a focus on the Holy Days, Holidays, Festivals and Observances through arts and crafts, storytelling, puppetry, dance and of course music. There is a short Hebrew component, too.
OUR APPROACH TO HEBREW
Our teachers are highly-trained to effectively communicate with joy while teaching the Hebrew language. In addition to our class approach, we are built to offer to those students in need one-on-one tutoring. We have individual tutoring for new students and the Director of Education is a Cantor. That means lots of wonderful fun music, music and more music. Come learn and sing with us.
